Andre’ Smith (dRe)

Thom’s son and the future of Coppersmith, he has suspension in his DNA.  With a knack for setting development and influential view on chassis stability; Andre` has become a double edge sword.  Experienced at the highest levels of motocross and off-road, he finds himself at home in the most demanding of situations.  Having a way of bringing fourth astounding performance from any suspension he lays hands on.  With patience and a bountiful knowledge he achieves full customer satisfaction with the ability to talk you through any suspension complications.  Furthermore, his diversity to be influential in so many areas makes him a key to Coppersmith’s advanced operation.

 Andre’s greatest accomplishment is putting faith in God, and knowing it is not himself that is good, only the Holy Spirit working through him is that which is good.

Thom Smith

Known as a suspension legend in the industry.  With the title as the Official Öhlins Tuner for all off road racing events in the United States, he put Ohlins back on the map in our country.  Living out of his rig he funded his own way to the top.  Working with multiple teams and riders.  Thom is as hard working as it gets, and has a passion for the sport. 

Thom has been an avid rider since the 60′s when he started racing minis and was never afraid to dig into any part of his bike to get more out of it.  Through the 70′s Thom’s motocross really took off as he started getting into supercross.  He continued to race Moto but also got big into Off Road in the 80′s.  In the 90′s, Thom was fed up not getting the results he was paying for sending his suspension out.  He started working with his factory suspension and came into phenomenal settings that his friends begged him to match there bikes up with.  At the turn of the century Thom got hooked up with Ohlins as they gave him a contract with team Samsung Yamaha.  Once the contract expired Thom pick up his own team, Team Solitaire Honda and managed to get them stellar results.  In 2006, BMW contacted Thom to design the suspension for their new off-road division venture, using Ohlins products. So he went to Germany and worked with BMW’s engineers to get their suspension figured out on there new bike.

Thom is internationally know as a suspension guru.

He has worked with Work MX1 and MX2 World Motocross Riders throughout Europe, along with some of the best in the business in the States such as Steve Hatch.  Ohlins Sweden worked hand in hand with Thom in Coppersmiths’ mobile lab at the 2007 Motocross Of Nations at Budds Creek.

Thom has been a huge impact at the GNCC events and spends time on the National MX tracks so he has hands on experience with the conditions you will face in America’s premier off-road racing series and the top level of MX tracks.
